Report 37: BI-I: A case study on the Rights, Duties, and Responsibilities of Kalanguya Women
In general, this study is aimed to enhance the public’s knowledge on Kalanguya Women specifically in lmugan, Sta. Fe, Nueva Vizcaya. In particular, the study aimed:
a) To determine the roles and images played by the Kalanguya Women in their history and culture.
b) To describe the current status of Kalanguya Women in their homes, production and community.
c) To specify the different factors that brought about the changes in the role of the women in Kalanguya society.
d) To assess the limits and potentials of women contribution in Kalanguya society.
This study is an attempt to meet the challenge of providing knowledge on the roles of Kalanguya Women suitable for a gender-sensitive development planning in lmugan, Sta. Fe. It is hoped that this research will create more awareness and interest on the importance of the women in Kalanguya culture and serve as a guide for development work in the area.
