Background

In 2022, the College of Social Work and Community Development (CSWCD) through the Research and Extension for Development Office (REDO) in collaboration with the College Library plan to digitize, preserve, and ensure access to the College’s knowledge products. This plan entails providing a means to access these materials through a dedicated physical space and an online repository. This project is the setting up of the College Institutional Repository and Archive which will contain the College’s knowledge products in digital and print formats, which are essential in keeping the institutional memory. The pandemic has brought to the fore the need for an accessible database of knowledge products which can serve administrative and curricular requirements as well as provide a solid reference for research on the development of social development through the lens of the College.

Administration

The CSWCD Library is tasked with the overall management and maintenance of the IR. While the administrative policy is governed by the Library Committee and the College Executive Board (CEB). The policy will be reviewed and revised as necessary to ensure its effectiveness and relevance to the institution mission and vision.
