College of Social Work and Community Development Library
This project proposal emphasizes the CSWCD’s longstanding commitment to people’s development through its academic, research, and extension programs. The Center advocates for pro-people, community-based, and participatory development approaches, challenging traditional top-down models while actively engaging with marginalized groups. To enhance outreach and align with the University’s mission of democratizing education, the proposal suggests transforming the Research and Extension for Development Office into the Center for Participatory Development, which will further promote and popularize these participatory approaches in social work and community development.
