Report 13: An Investigative Study on the Street Families: their perception on themselves and their daily living conditions
Street families have never been neither popular nor familiar to the masses. Street children are the usual ones seen in Metro Manila. It is by the fact that several studies dealt with street children. Because of this, the research purposely conducted a study on street families, since the children are not just on the streets but with their families as well. The research basically brings about the condition of the street families including their survival strategies and perceptions on their lives. The researchers took the cloverleaf area in EDSA-Balintawak as the site / sample of the study. Four families were interviewed to get the information needed for the research. This is a one-month, non-experimental, descriptive study that uses interviews, observations and a case study guide. From these, results were tabulated and classified.
