Disability has also been seen as a medical condition that is needed to be fixed. Another perspective is the charity perspective where persons with disabilities are seen as pitiful and needs help. Currently, the perspective we most commonly see is the rights-based perspective. This perspective sheds light to people with disability as persons with innate worth and dignity. From the medical perspective that asks, “what is wrong with the persons with disabilities?”, we now have a rights-based perspective that asks, ‘What is wrong with the society?’
