Community Organizing from the Eyes of a Woman

Yutawhan1 is a concert of nationalist songs organized by a group of teachers from St. Catherine’s School in the municipality of Carcar, Cebu, 40 kilometers south of Cebu City. It was organized after the spirit of nationalism was revived by a series of teach-ins conducted by a former SVD priest, Ed de la Torre, upon the invitation of the Immaculati Cordis Mariae or Immaculate Heart of Mary (ICM) sisters who were conscientized and affected by the political climate in the country.
