Democracy with a Soul: Community Organizing in the New Millenium

This paper will present the key lessons in Community Organizing (CO) as discussed and reflected on by organizers in the Philippines based on the twenty years of work. It will outline the challenges and dilemmas for the coming millennium; this will be discussed within the context of recent experiences in CO in the urban and rural areas using specific issues and actions.
