This research seeks to explore the dynamic between government and civil society organizations by exploring the relationship between the government, the Church and Likhaan. In particular, the research shall look into the implications of this dynamic to the post-abortion health care service; from its inception, implementation and challenges they faced. The study shall also examine the post-abortion health care services through the lens of women who have accessed it. Finally, the research seeks to draw out lessons from the relationship between the government, the Catholic Church and Likhaan to contribute to social movement theory and state-civil society engagements.
