Society faces gender inequalities and injustice, with women often being branded as second-class citizens or weaker sex. The University of the Philippines’ UP Diliman Gender Office aims to break these barriers by integrating gender consciousness in teaching, research, and management. The college’s Social Work and Community Development students contributed to the Violence Against Women campaign, demonstrating the importance of participation and advocacy.
