This research project aimed to investigate several aspects of grievance and dispute resolution within companies with collective bargaining agreements (CBAs). Specifically, it sought to identify the number of such companies that have operational grievance machinery, analyze the nature of disputes addressed through these mechanisms, and document the procedures followed in selected cases of conciliation and med-arbitration. Additionally, the project aimed to capture the perceptions and attitudes of involved parties regarding the benefits and drawbacks of these settlement methods and to compare the typical duration required for resolving cases through each procedure.
