This paper presents a case study of a Community Mortgage Program (CMP) implemented at the Manuel Gatmaitan Estate (MGE) in Barangay Gulod, Novaliches, Quezon City, Philippines.

The case study aims to (1) describe the CMP and its practice in Gulod, including its origins, the process of implementing it, and its effectiveness, (2) evaluate the CMP from the perspective of community organizing, and (3) relate the CMP to social development work. Thus, the CMP is evaluated according to how well it has facilitated the meeting of the identified needs of the community.
